These soils were created to mimic the natural, bog-like setting of native carnivorous plants. They contain a large portion of peat moss to provide the proper soil pH and moisture retention.
The Venus flytrap mix uses sand to add drainage. It is the ideal mixture for Venus flytraps, or as an all purpose carnivorous plant soil.
The pitcher plant mixes uses perlite for drainage is the ideal composition for Sarrancenia spp.
