Medinilla myricantha

Semi-epiphytic, shrub. Can be grown indoors, or outdoors in USDA zones 10-11. Produces showy pink flowers that grow in a cluster resembling a bunch of grapes. Will flower year round in a suitable climate. This is a unique plant for a tropical collection that offers an atypical shape and display.
Growing Conditions:
Light: Moderate to bright light. Bright light is recommended to maximize blooms.
Water: Water once the top one inch of soil is dry.
Fertilizer: Fertilize regularly in the spring and summer months with a balanced fertilizer.
Soil: Enjoys a chunky soil mixture, Chunky mix
Pests: Not particularly susceptible to any common pest, but will grow cystolyths. Cystolyths appear as a glassy small dots on the upper side of the leaf and can resemble pest damage, but are not harmful to the plant.
